I will not support any tax credits for a particular sector that will give it a competitive advantage over another. I will not support any legislation that picks winners and losers in an industry. I will only support legislation that treats every company, large or small, as equals in our economy. The free market should decide who thrives in our country, not congress.
With that being said, I will support any legislation that makes America more competitive in attracting businesses to this country. I want to create a tax and regulatory environment that makes the United States an attractive place to do business. The more businesses that create jobs, the more competition there will be for employees, which will in turn cause wages to grow. It is simple supply and demand. When there is more demand for our labor, companies will have to pay more for that labor in order to attract good employees. This is good for those in our district and all Americans.
